We are pleased and honored to share that BORN: THE MUSIC OF EDIE HILL AND MICHAEL GILBERTSON has received a GRAMMY® Award for “Best Choral Performance” following its November 2022 nomination. Congratulations to The Crossing, conductor Donald Nally, and composers Edie Hill and Michael Gilbertson, and all involved in this project on this monumental achievement.

Having received two GRAMMY Awards for Best Choral Performance in 2018 and 2019, this comes as the third win for the ensemble in this category. Following the release of CLAY JUG and EVOLUTIONARY SPIRITS, BORN marks the third Navona Records collaboration between PARMA artists Edie Hill and The Crossing.

“We want to make pieces about the world we live in, and we want people to hear them, to listen, and maybe recognize themselves in our stories,” said conductor Donald Nally via Instagram. “This GRAMMY Award for Best Choral Performance brings all that together.”
